There are about 4.3 million Australians who have a disability. When it is fully rolled out, the NDIS will provide about 460,000 Australians aged under 65, who have permanent and significant disability with funding for supports and services. For many people, it will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.
You may qualify if you are aged between 7 and 65 years of age, live in Australia as an Australian citizen (or have a Permanent or Special Category Visa), usually need support from a person because of a permanent and significant disability, use special equipment because of a permanent and significant disability, or may need support now to reduce future needs.
The focus of the NDIS is to provide support to disabled people in order to promote lifelong care and independence for families and persons with disability. The aim is to ensure they are able to participate in work education and leisure activities.
Participants are funded through their individual plans to access services and supports that are considered ‘reasonable and necessary’ to help achieve their desired outcomes.
Isodynamics REVIVER is able to assist with individual care plans for carers and family to improve or maintain independence of the person with the disability. Your NDIS coordinator can develop a plan with you and then you can contact us about assessment.
